Stock up at the Verona Farmers Market this Saturday for your Thanksgiving fixings. Pick up some homegrown pumpkins and fresh picked apples for those delicious pies. Drop by Judy's Jams and Jellies and sample her wares or buy a bowl of her delicious home made chili. Judy is just one of the many vendors who is dedicated to providing the best and most varied local producer-based goods they can offer. Thanksgiving is a special time to share. Remember to bring a non-perishable food item for the Food Bank. They can be dropped off at the canteen counter at the Market. Food items and cash donations will be sent to Rural Visions in Sydenham for distribution throughout this area. Lions Club Hall, Sands Rd., 9 am to 12 pm.

Register for Kids Klub on Tuesday October 13 at 5:45 pm at Verona Free Methodist Church. It will be a fun packed six-week program that runs from October 13 to November 17. The program is for parents, toddlers and kids up to age 11. The night starts with a light supper at 6 pm and then from 6:30 to 7:15 there will be song, stories and crafts. $15.00 a person or $25.00 for the whole family for the 6 week program.

Area businesses are invited to join the Frontenac Community Futures Development Corporation to participate in a trade show. The trade show is an opportunity for local businesses to promote their products and services to other businesses and residents. It will be held Wed. October 21, from 3 to 7 pm at the Verona Lion's Hall. The cost for a tabletop display is $25 and businesses will be accepted on a first come, first served basis. Do you have your tickets for the Halloween Dance and Silent Auction? Not only will this be a great evening of fun but it is also the major fund raiser for Christmas For Kids. Help share in Verona's Community Spirit. $15.00 per person. Lunch and appetizers included. The dance will be held at Rivendell Golf Course. October 24, starting at 7 pm. Tickets available now at Verona Hardware.

Come cheer the Frontenac Flyers Junior C hockey team as they play the Port Hope Panthers this Sunday October 11th at the Frontenac Arena. 7 pm

A Crafts & Conversation meeting will be held on Wednesday, October 14 at the Free Methodist Church in Verona from 10:00 am until noon. Contact Helga Konecny 613-374-1281
