The Frontenac Farmers Market will showcase local Alternative Health Professionals on Saturday, March 5th. Plan on dropping by to learn more about Foot Care, Massage, Birthing Classes, Nutritional Cleansing & Yoga. Verona Lions Hall. 9am to 12 noon.

March break is almost here. Are you worried about what to do with the kids. Send the little tykes to the music workshop, "Music is Fun" They can explore their creative expression in a workshop focusing on vocal, verbal and rhythmic improvisation. The children will choose a theme and create a group music piece and/or a short drama sketch. $ 5.00 per child. Kids ages 8 to 12, Thursday, March 17, 1pm to 4 pm. And if mom and dad are feeling left out of it - there is a session for them too. Adults, Wednesday, March 16, from 7 pm to 9:30 pm. K's Clubhouse is holding a March Break "Luck O the Irish" Kids Camp on March 14th 15th, 16th and 18th (no camp on the 17th). Different activities will be held each day-from making a leprechaun doll, building a leprechaun trap, to making green cupcakes and decorations for a St Patty's Day Party. $10 a day with a discount for families. Don't miss an Olde Tyme Canadian Dinner on Saturday, March 5, at 5 pm. Foods served from across the nation plus live old time, Canadian, after dinner entertainment at the Verona United Church. Tickets are $15 per person. There is only a limited number of tickets available and these must be purchased in advance. The Verona Community Association's Annual General Meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 15th. This will immediately be followed by the Verona Cattail Festival meeting. Discover what the VCA is all about. What does the organization do for Verona? What better way to get involved in the Verona community than to volunteer? It was a full house for the Verona Community Improvement Plan meeting on February 24th. A lot of interest and excitement was in the air. If you missed this meeting, don't worry, another meeting will be scheduled for April. Stay tuned to this column and I will keep you up to date.
