Another first for Verona and our Cattail Festival. A musical! And what a delightful production it is. The festival committee was introduced to the first draft and we were enthralled. It is a delightful production featuring Cameron our Bog lemming's imaginary life in our swamp and his relationship with our community. The script is witty and downright hilarious. The musical score is infectious and had us singing and toe tapping. The musical is designed for the children however all ages are going to love it. Yarker playwright, David Archibald is the creator of this production and I guarantee you, this is going to be a wonderful addition to our entertainment lineup at the festival.

The only thing that Verona lacked, when we moved here five years ago, was the convenience of popping out of the house in the early hours of morning to buy a freshly baked muffin or doughnut to go along with our coffee. This void has been filled. Toppers Convenience Store has added a new service to their local business - Country Style Coffee and Bakery. Andy tells me business has been brisk. Every morning by 5:30 am, freshly baked doughnuts, muffins and cookies are now being served to go along with the coffee, which is kept freshly brewed all day. Living in Verona just keeps getting better!
