Who are you gonna be? Which famous movie star or movie character? Clark Gable, Marilyn Monroe, Elvis Presley, Indiana Jones? And don't forget the kids. Will they be SpongeBob, Spiderman, a Transformer, a princess? Join in the 'dress up' fun at the VERONA Festival August 7, 8 and 9. The theme of the 14th Verona Festival is Veronawood, Hollywood North and all the Stars will be out that weekend.
Become your favourite "Hollywood" star and join us in the festival parade. Any business and group in the Verona area may enter floats or vehicles. A great way to advertise. Decorate in theme, please. Children and parents in costumes can walk in the parade. There will be prizes for best floats and decorated vehicles in various categories. The parade will assemble behind Trinity United Church at 6:30 pm Friday August 7. Parade starts at 7 pm.
The festival will have something for everyone. Children's activities are plentiful this year. The kids will be able to create their own crafts at Cameron Kids Corner. All for free! The children can make a director's hat, decorate their own Walk of Fame star, get a celebrity tattoo. New this year, they can pose in costume at the 'Kids' Dress Up Photo Shoot ' and take home their own personalized picture of the festival. Also free. That is just the start. Free horse and wagon rides, the Verona Maze, the Story Telling Tent, soap box derby, petting zoo, and so much more. There will be happy smiles on every child's face.
