An enthusiastic "Well Done" to Verona's own Judy Conway and her daughter Erin. They completed a grueling 32 kilometer walk in Toronto to raise money for the Princess Margaret Hospital "The Weekend to End Breast Cancer Walk". Judy, a self-professed non-exerciser, plunged herself into a summer long, training program to prepare for this long walk. Imagine walking from Verona to Princess St in Kingston. Judy and Erin and 4600 other participants walked that equal distance on Saturday September 12 and helped raise over $11 million dollars. Way to go, Judy!

The Verona Lions Club is hosting a Blood Donor Clinic, Thursday September 17 from 2:30 to 6:30 pm at the Verona Lions Hall on Sand Rd.

North Frontenac Arena has ice. The Junior C Flyers exhibition game will be played at the arena on Friday Sept 18th, 8:30 pm

The Bell Rock Community Fall Harvest Pot Luck is on Saturday September 19 at 4 pm. The Raffle draw will take place at this time. Everyone is welcome, bring your favorite dish.

Do you want input into the K and P trail, which will be running through the heart of Verona? Then don't miss the important public meeting for the proposed K and P Trail, which will be held Monday September 21st from 5 pm to 7 pm at the Verona Lion's Hall. This is the time to voice any concerns and find out what has been planned for the trail so far.

There will be a Crafts & Conversation meeting on Wednesday, September 23 at the Free Methodist Church in Verona from 10:00 am until noon. Coffee is provided, please bring your mug. Contact Helga Konecny 613-374-1281

Prince Charles Public School is holding their annual magazine fundraiser from September 15th to September 30th. All your favourite magazines are featured. If you know a Prince Charles student, order through them, because the kids are eligible for prizes based on their sales. If you don't, then just stop by the school to pick up the catalogue.
