Word from Mary Jo Dowker is that the Verona Community Association Christmas for Kids program was a huge success. 46 children from ages 3 months to 18 years received gift bags tailor made to each child's specific needs. Each bag included mitts, toque, socks, underwear, handmade PJs, toothbrush, toothpaste, bubble bath, lip balm, warm sweater and/or pants, books, board games, stuffed animals, arts and crafts, and a variety of other toys.
The Verona Community Association would like to thank the organizations and people who once again gave unselfishly of their time and pocket books to Christmas for Kids. They helped to bring joy to families during the Christmas season. Huge thanks are given to the community members who dropped off and donated toys at the Verona Hardware Store, the businesses who hosted the donation jars and the community members who dropped off cash donations in the donation jars.
