One last chance to enjoy a Winter Weekend Wake-Up Breakfast this Saturday, February 5th. The folks at Trinity United Church have done a great job filling those cold, wintry Saturdays with good food and conversation. Scrambled eggs, bacon, toast and fried potatoes for only $5.00. And your choice of tea, milk, juice, bagel, muffin or bottomless cup of coffee for $1.00 more. Breakfast will be served from 9 am to 11 am. Trinity United Church, Verona

Vicky Kehoe Massage Therapy is in a new location as of January 31st. Vicky's clinic is now located at 6618-B Road 38 (the old Thomson Jemmett building).

The Portland District & Area Heritage Society is hosting a Computer oriented genealogy seminar on Wednesday Feb. 9th from 1:30 pm to 4 pm at the Princess Anne Community Centre in Hartington. . Attention farmers and rural entrepreneurs. There will be a Quest for New Farm Value - two day workshop on Thursday, February 10 and 17 from 9 am to 4 pm at the Verona Lions Hall. By attending this workshop, you will learn best practices regarding value adding to tap into new and existing marketplace opportunities. Cost is $75 per person and lunch will be provided. Honey, bee my Valentine! The Frontenac Farmers Market reopens Saturday, February 12th just in time for Valentine's Day and the celebration of honey, a very sweet combination. Shop for that unique Valentine's present from one of the many vendors and their hand made crafts. Fill those empty pantries with farm fresh eggs, winter vegetables, various meats, baked goods, assortment of jams and jellies, locally roasted coffee and more. Verona Lions Hall 9 am to 12 noon.

Celebrate the success of last year's Verona Cattail Festival. All volunteers and potential new volunteers are welcome to the Verona Cattail Festival Potluck Supper at 6 pm on Tuesday, February 15th. This is a Thank You celebration for everyone who made the Verona Cattail Festival a huge success and to welcome new volunteers. Bring a dish and let's have fun! Verona Lions Hall. Verona Sand Road.

Crafts & Conversation's Group of quilters, knitters, crocheters, crafters and chatterers meet at the Free Methodist Church in Verona, Wednesday February 9th from 10:00 am until noon. Coffee is provided, please bring your mug. Contact Helga Konecny 613-374-1281
